“Meraviglia”, – there could not have been a more fitting name. Nomen omen, as the ancients used to say. Not only for the beauty of the project or the landscape that hosts it, but for the very essence of this place: unrepeatable, visionary, perfectly suspended between dream and discipline, between nature and architecture, between time and intuition. Where once stood the Cariola quarry – a rhyolite quarry active until the 1980s, later reduced to a degraded site – today a landscape is reborn. An architectural work that does not impose itself, but blends with the quarry, reflects the sea, and lets itself be embraced by the Mediterranean scrub. Here, nature is not a spectator, but the true protagonist.

The 7,000 square meters of production and technological facilities are hidden within the landscape, following its lines and respecting its identity. The very features of the quarry – such as its natural thermal inertia and constant humidity – have become a valuable resource for the wines born and aged here. Today, Cantina Meraviglia is not only a place of production: it is an experience, a destination for hospitality and wine tourism. The two upstairs tasting rooms, the panoramic terrace overlooking the Tuscan Archipelago, and even the library of older vintages suspended above the barrel cellar are evocative spaces, designed for a wine tourism experience that captures the power of this place: the strength of the rock, the breath of the sea, and the vision of a project unlike any other.

After leaving your car, you will be accompanied to the winery via a scenic road that winds through the vineyards. In the winery, the tour includes the barrel cellar, the library with old vintages, and the winemaking area with concrete Tulipe tanks. The tasting takes place on the panoramic floor, offering a unique view. Activities are in small groups.

A private experience that includes both a tour of the new winery and a tasting of all Tenuta Meraviglia wines, including the Vigna Pianali cru. After leaving your car in the parking lot, you will be accompanied to the winery where, after the tour, the guided tasting takes place in the splendid panoramic rooms, with a unique view of the coast and the sea.

tasting & Lunch

This experience takes place in small groups at 11:00 a.m. After the guided tour of the winery, you will taste Tenuta Meraviglia wines in the splendid panoramic rooms, facing Tuscan Archipelago. Afterwards, you will move to the Tenuta Le Colonne wine shop for a light lunch featuring local products, simple and authentic flavors to pair with local wines.

heritage experience

The experience begins with a jeep tour through the vineyards, discovering the different soils that characterize the estate. You will arrive at the Vigna Pianali cru. The tour continues with a private visit to the cellar; finally, the tasting takes place in the Wine Library, suspended above the barrel cellar. Tasting: three vintages of Maestro di Cava and Vigna Pianali.
